
This course will examine historical views of economic development, and industrial technologies and policies in Asian countries, in order to acquire the knowledge essential to take leadership in future Asian markets. The course will cover economic perspectives and concepts and public policies and their problems, through policy-oriented articles. The various topics to be discussed in this course are "Theories of Economic Development," "Asian Economic Development," "Globalization and Competitiveness," "Governance," "Business, Politics, and Policies," and "Culture and Institutions."
