The e-learning system which uses a variety of network techniques, has been increasingly utilized for corporate and school education purposes, and there is a strong demand for specialized e-learning experts in industry.
This course covers the sophistication of e-learning as its theme and conduct system development. The e-learning system can be described as the crystallization of IT and computer techniques, and its development requires server-side programming, network, and database techniques, in addition to multimedia techniques. Moreover, in the future, the realization of the ubiquitous learning environment with mobile learning and multi-language techniques is inevitable.
KCGI has been developing the “Japan-Korea Cyber Campus” with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan. This project is based on the standard platform "SCORM" and applying the e-learning system “Blackboad Leaning System(WebCT) Vista” to a more international scale, through developing new functions such as long-distance simultaneous interpretation and conducting performance and quality assessments. It is hoped to mount more practical systems to be eventually used as components of KCGI’s educational environment in the future.
