Development of secure information systems

Leaks of corporate information and illegal access to information systems have been increasing recently, and the need for secure information system development, which controls infringement such as virus attacks and hacking, is an urgent issue. Thus, this course aims to study ways to develop the secure information system.

The course teaches programming (Java, C++, etc.), networking, and database technologies, in addition to the cryptography theory, and also help students design and mount information security of web service system. For example, students will research a system that diversifies each individual’s information in web service server and has high tolerance to information leaks. They also develop the secure web service system using the standard web service techniques such as XML and SOAP, and incorporating the PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) system and authentication techniques.
